📹 Camera Person Checklist

🎬 One Camera Person Per Team

Complete this checklist the night before AND morning of race day

🌙 Night Before — May 29th

Clear at least 15GB of storage

1 hour of 1080p video = ~6–8GB. You need room to breathe.

Set video to 1080p at 30fps

Settings → Camera → Record Video → 1080p HD at 30fps. Still looks great. Saves battery and storage.

Turn on Do Not Disturb

No calls. No notifications. Nothing interrupting the footage.

Plug in overnight — wake up at 100%

Your phone must be at 100% at the starting gun. No exceptions.

☀️ Morning Of — May 30th

Put on your race shirt and black shorts

You are a team. Dress like one. Race shirt + black shorts. Every single person.

Confirm your team has 2 charged phones

QR scanning and photo proof happen simultaneously at several stops. Both phones need to be at or near 100%.

Stay plugged in until you leave for the race

Unplug only when you walk out the door. Every percent counts.

Open the camera app and test the harness

Make sure the angle is right before you're at the starting line scrambling.

Hit record BEFORE Zharia says go

Start recording at the fountain. Don't stop until you're sitting at BoomerJack's.

Remember — you are the director of your team's episode

Wear your race shirt and black shorts on May 30th. No exceptions — you need to look like a team. Lay them out tonight so you're not scrambling in the morning.

📱 Two Phones Required

Several stops require scanning a QR code while another phone is being used for photo proof. Make sure your team has at least 2 active, fully charged phones at the starting line. This is not optional.

⚠️ Battery Warning

If you arrive at the fountain below 70% battery your team loses the body cam advantage. Zharia has one power bank at the start line for emergencies — but don't count on it. Charge your phone.

Every stop requires photo or video texted to the host. No proof = no points.

One teammate only. No help from the rest of the team.
